The Spine MDT was established to provide individuals suffering from back pain, neck pain and related spinal conditions with a better way of accessing the most suitable treatments for their conditions. The Spine MDT is unique in being the only practice of its type that seamlessly integrates all spinal and back pain professions and practitioners, all under the supervision of a specialist spinal surgeon.

UK-based and with clinic locations throughout the UK, our coordinated team encompass physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, pain management and spine surgery specialists, all committed to common set of objectives that put patients first.

The Spine MDT was set up by Anthony Ghosh, a leading London trained neurosurgeon who has undergone extensive combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic fellowship training in complex spine surgery, gaining skills and insights from both disciplines.

Within neurosurgery, he underwent extensive fellowship training in microsurgery for complex vascular disorders of the brain and spine. This included training at Kings College Hospital in London and the world renowned Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona, USA. He was able to apply these skills to minimising the invasiveness of the spine treatments he offers to reduce tissue trauma, enhance safety, and speed up recovery. Previously responsible for running a busy NHS spinal neurosurgery practice, since founding The Spine MDT Anthony now solely practices privately.

“I’ve always felt there has been a lack of oversight of the care of patients with back pain and spine disorders, given the different disciplines of practitioners they see (physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors as well as surgeons). I wanted to build a unique practice that brings all these professionals together to put the patient first, under my oversight, taking
overall responsibility for their care. This way we can find the least invasive solution that gives the longest lasting result”
