Mr Anthony Ghosh is a consultant spinal neurosurgeon of international standing, widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities in spine care in the United Kingdom.

He is among a small number of surgeons in this country to hold dual fellowship training encompassing both neurosurgical and orthopaedic complex spine surgery — a distinction that affords him an unusually comprehensive command of the full spectrum of spinal pathology. His higher surgical training was undertaken at King's College Hospital and St George's Hospital, two of London's pre-eminent neurosurgical centres, and he holds a research doctorate from University College London. He was appointed to the NHS Consultant grade in 2017, serving as Neurovascular Lead at a major London teaching hospital and regional spine centre before dedicating his practice exclusively to spinal surgery in the independent sector.

Mr Ghosh brings to his spinal practice the precision and microsurgical discipline of his neurovascular training — an approach that informs his strong preference for minimally invasive techniques and his commitment to achieving definitive outcomes through the least disruptive means available.

His practice is focused entirely on disorders of the spine. He undertakes no general neurosurgery. Every patient receives his complete and undivided clinical attention.

Mr Ghosh does not limit his involvement to the operative episode. Where surgery is indicated, he performs it. Where non-operative management is appropriate, he assumes personal clinical direction of the patient's care — overseeing and directing the work of physiotherapists, pain specialists, osteopaths, rheumatologists, and allied health practitioners as required. At no stage is the patient's care fragmented or left without clear clinical leadership.
